Many people in the
Northwest say that Sturgeon fishing is the
best fishing there is because there are lots
of huge Sturgeon in Northwest waters and the
Sturgeon fishing management has helped to
maintain those numbers for several years
now. Sturgeon is the best table fare you may
ever try. It is a very white meat and not
fatty or oily. Lightly sautéed in butter
filets of Sturgeon are as good tasting fish
as any in the World. Just add your favorite
beverage and enjoy the feast that is what
everyone in the Northwest has been able to
keep secret for so many years.

Fishing for Salmon, Bass,
Steelhead, Walleye and other species is fun
but each has their drawbacks. Unpredictable
runs, inconsistent eating habits, fair
possibility of getting skunked and slower
action or lack of strength can all be
reasons that these fish are not as popular
as Sturgeon. Many charters use phrases like
"pound for pound fighting strength" when
describing these other types of fish but who
cares if a tiny fish is really strong when
you can catch any average Sturgeon and they
are HUGELY STRONG fighters and fun to catch.
Catch several each outing and let a bunch go
and keep a bunch. About the only complaint
you'll ever hear from a Sturgeon fishing
client is "ohhhh my arms are tired!" (see
photo above where two of Charlie's clients
work together to battle a Sturgeon.
